Working Holidays Abroad

Why choose Sarajevo?

Since the infamous ‘Siege of Sarajevo’ in the 1990s, the city has become a symbol of resistance to ethnic cleansing and was recently named a ‘Peace Messenger City’. ‘Working Holidays in Sarajevo’ promotes the importance of solidarity with the people of this remarkable city.

Due to the atrocities that have happened in recent history, Sarajevo is still rebuilding itself and its people need assistance in order to build a better future. The government is not able to provide much needed support, and there is a 40% unemployment rate.

The majority of Sarajevo’s people were educated during the period of communism when the only foreign language taught was Russian. However, in almost every job today people are required to have a certain knowledge of English, so that’s where your skills come in!
