Who is behind 'Working Holidays Abroad'?
‘Working Holidays Abroad’ is an initiative of the Charities Advisory Trust (www.charitiesadvisorytrust.org.uk), working in partnership with charities in India, Rwanda and Sarajevo. The concept of 'Working Holidays Abroad' came from charities that have appeared in the Good Gift catalogue. A number of charities sought the Trust's advice on how to find suitable volunteers to assist in the development of their projects abroad. 'Working Holidays Abroad' is our response to their need.
Volunteers on these placements support local NGOs and charities both through their work and financially, as fees include a substantial donation to these organisations.
‘Working Holidays Abroad’ is an extension of the Charities Advisory Trust’s Medical Electives (www.medicalstudentelectives.org/electives) and its Development from the Inside Programme (www.charitiesadvisorytrust.co.uk/development/index.html) in India.
